where to buy metric grade 8 bolts? [Archive]

I need some grade 8 bolts (6) for this pressure plate. (M8X1.25and 1.25" long) I went to a few places last night with no luck. Where can you get these in high strengh?

I have gotten a few from Auto Zone before. They just don't have the greatest selection in sizes.

CAll Fastenal, they have stores all over Cincinnati. For the metric bolt hardness, it's called 8.8 instead of a grade 8

yep fastenal. there is one in Amelia and down here off Spring Grove that we use. There is also Cincinnati Fastener right behind Cincy Speed too. They may have something. And actually a Grade 8 equivalent is a 10.9 bolt. An 8.8 is a Grade 5.

The one in Evendale/Woodlawn will sell bolts individually.

I go to Fastenal in florence Ky. They can get anything you need. One or one hundred. Got these great clamps to hold lines against the body. Metal with rubber insulation. Worked perfectly.

i used to buy mine at the hardware store in goshen on 28 before it changed owners. i'm not sure if the new owners stock them though.

Fastenal on Muhlhauser.Or Grainger pretty much has any bolt nown to man at the big store down on Symmes just west of 747.Most of my bolts come from there.Usually come in packages though.And your probly lookin for a length under head of 30mm.

I get all of mine from the local ACE Hardware.... Of course I live out in farm country, So they have quite the selection...
