Auto to T5?

I have a 92 4cyl. auto mustang. The auto tranny is going out and I am thinking of putting a 5sp. in it to get better gas millage. My question is if I swap everything over will the car run correctly or do I have to do something with the computer?

It will run fine man, on a 92 the computer is'nt controlling the trans, so you got no worries.

Like he said everything will work fine. My `89 GT was an auto when I got it. I swapped it out for a 5 speed and now I`m running a 6 speed. I still have the same computer. No problems at all.
