Ok brief useless rant but why in the hell is customer support with superchargers so damn crappy, i read all the horror stories with kenne bell chargers, then I end up with a vortech I need a few simple pieces, fmu rebuild kit and recalibration kit. 2 condoms and two steel discs. Big hard to have pieces.. well I call them up order it 2 wed ago, and then in meanwhile wasnt a big deal since transmission swap has been underway. But I ended up needing a register ring for the bellhousing, I call Mcleod, they even have a problem getting my card to run, but wanting to get my part out they shipped it without the payment that night (the card error was their system) This was last tuesday.

Both companies are west coast. UPS shows up today ring in hand, score now i can get trans done come wed. Well I call vortech up to make sure some screwball ups driver didnt lose it ect. They go well sir we tracked your package and its scheduled to deliver wed. I'm like 2 fucking weeks? did this come on the slow boat from china? Maybe i should see where the product was made, maybe they had to make it. I actually got home today and they mailed the invoice seperate and it beat the package.

Funny how a "niche" product company that sells fairly expensive products are such a pain in the ass to deal with. So for all the piss poor customer support in the world I say this:flipoff::flipoff::flipoff:

It seems when a company knows you have no other choice to use them, they do not care. When UPS sent my stuff to the wrong address they told me it would be handled within 8 days. I went off on the lady trying to explain SN95 brackets do not just magicaly appear when you need to purchase them. They knew where they delivered it so why would they not just go pick it up right then and there?...they have more than 1 truck last time I checked. After some choice words relayed to her and another person they finally went out and picked it up. Then on top of that they have the nerve to tell me they seem to always drop off at least 1 wrong package a day at this place.

Q. What can brown do for you?

A. Delay the progress of your build and make you miss the Spring Cruise-in.

UPS packages from west coast go via rail or semi to Chicago, takes 5-7 days plus weekends.

Reason I don't order from a few suppliers on the wrong coast.

Placed a order Thursday, it was shipped Friday, will be here tomorrow, UPS.

USPS it would have been here Saturday.

You may want to check out superchargersonline.com, they are a little cheaper. At some point in the future, I would dump the fmu anyway, and go with bigger inj.'s.

Jon, what FMU are you needing ?? I have one here that I have no use for. Or maybe you can use it for parts ?? I think it's a 10:1, but I can find out if you need it.

5 days use to be the norm for shipping to or from the west coast but its been 6 years since I did much of it.

When I go standalone I will, but im still speed density :D So the fmu is kinda needed for the tuning capabilities for now. If i get my hands on a set of 42's to test I may try those in there, I got 30's running now and the car actually trimmed them. But without anyone being able to modify the fuel curve I still dont think I could get a big enough injector that would still trim down.

Gearhead I needed 6:1, but the real problem was the previous owner had the fuel lines backwards, which i never took off the fmu to double check. So it damaged the diaphram in the valve body, which according to vortech at least just pulling the valve body off, requires putting in new parts. I tried to straighten the ding out in it, but still isnt putting required fuel down.

I was going to just buy a used one since they go for like 50 bucks, but then i was still going to have to buy a recal kit, since none were set as 6:1 from factory.

I don't understand it either. You would think that they would cater to their customers, but sadly, it seems like they couldn't care less if you are a satisfied customer or not. :dunno:

I tried to deal with Vortech 2 years ago now. Worst customer service I have experienced in my life. I absolutely despise them now. Every person I talked to was a cocky prick, and loved to show their ass and try to belittle me.
