cage?

does anyone know how much it would be to have a cage put in an 86 with t tops? i want an 8 or 6 point cage to add some strength to the body. found a kit for an 8 point cage that id have to weld myself for 226 without shipping but idk how to tig weld so i dont want to buy it and mess it up. im already going to either make or buy sub frame connectors soon to weld in but i can mig or stick those in.... thanks, adam

First question do you want a cage or a bar? A cage will have the over head halo and bars going through your dash. A roll bar is good to 9.99. Either can installed with a mig as long as it is mild steel as opposed to chrome moly. TIG will be more precise, and chromoly is lighter, but both add some cost. I would suggest you pm Rob@RRC or JIMSSVT. They both do nice clean work.
