i have a 88 gt and would like to put a turbo eventuly i hear they work better on the 89 and up cause of the maf is this true?

Yes it is true.But there some people out there that run the speed density and run great with it.If you plan on doing the mass air.You need to get the harness and computer from a 1989.They work great and all the plugs are the same .

Yes,I would swap it out for a mass air harness.Doesnt take much to do,and there is plenty of info on the net on how to swap it.Very easy and well worth it.
