Yeah sure it is, but I'm gonna try. Anyway some of you know I traded my mini tub notch for some other toys which I in turn traded for this car. Its a 93 notch w/ a na 347 and just a good ol t5. Its got nice paint/interior and a few suspension mods. This one is not getting a cage or anything else that would render it more of a pain to drive on the street. I'm gonna add some suspension goodies to make it more of a handling car and maybe a t56 and thats about it. I took it to the dyno tonite to make sure all was safe and came home happy. I would just post up the dyno sheet but my scanner don't wanna work right now anyway we started w/ 344hp and 332tq and tweaked until I left with 402hp and 383tq. We didn't even get to tune w/ the laptop and I have software issues I need to take care of so I may even be able eek out a couple more hp from it down low. I want to thank Cincy Speed for the dyno time, Craig is the man. I also want to thank Paul and Timido for helping on the tune as well as Mr Titanium, Brandon Alsept for throwing in his .02. Can't wait to get some seat time as its been a while since I could really enjoy a car on the street. See you guys at the cruise. BTW I was hoping to get some better pics but these are all I have at the moment.

For a street car I like this one ALOT better too, I ended up with a nice little stack of cash too so all turned out for the best.

That car looks GREAT! I'd rock the shit out of that thing. Although I'd get the windows re-tinted ASAP. That purple shit's as gay as aids.

Aside from that, good N/A power, and a nice, clean car. Thumbs up!

Good looking car! What brand wheels are those?

They are Ronal r-67's. They are a 3 piece wheels so I will eventually pull them apart and powder coat the centers. Fronts are 17x8 and rears are 17x9.5. At first I wasn't to sure about them but they are growing on me. I guess if nothing else you don't ever see them on anything else.

Well not this minute. I wanna tear into it soon but I think I'll just drive it for a while first. Everytime I start to tear into one I just can't seem to quit and little project turns into a major one.

Thanks, I agree, every mustang seems to have Welds or one of the replica wheels on it. I would really love a set of forgelines or fikse's but don't want to shell out that much cash on wheels...................yet.

Nice Kenny!! Please keep this one and drive it!!

Thats the plan. The whole idea out of selling my other car was to get a nice street car and free up some cash for my oven and I am pretty pleased with the way things turned out.

Thanks John, yeah the big block only made 270/312 but the new owner did run a 7.29 first time at the track and that was w/ a 3.08 gear so it should have run mid 11's or so. I do really want to start powder some of the stuff but like you said it runs and I want to keep it that way. Thanks for the compliments guys, I think I'm gonna really like this car.

I think it would look nasty dropped about an inch up front, maybe more.

Thanks. Yes it does have coilovers up front. I'm gonna do some Strange shocks/struts here soon and when I do I plan to drop it down just a little more.

mustangboy
05-21-2009, 09:22 PM
Well I just installed a Magnaflow catback setup that replaced the flowmaster that were dumped. Definately much more mellow. I've not had it on the highway yet but I think I will actually be able to hear the radio now. Hopefully if I can knock out a few powder jobs I will be adding some 350# spring in the front and back, Strange struts/shocks and some MM rear weight jacker control arms. That should get me handling a little better.

07-02-2009, 12:43 AM
Well with vacation and coating I have not done much more to the car. I did get the Strange shocks on tonight and hopefully my new 12" 350lb front coilover springs will be in tomorrow and I'll get those installed w/ the new Strange struts. I still need to save some to get my 350lb rear springs and MM weight jacker lowers. Currently the car has 175lb 14" coilovers on the front with stock struts and stock shocks/springs?? on the rear. You would think that it would ride rather cushy with this setup however it rides like a brick. I'm guessing the stockers are not working very well. Before you guys freak out over the heavy springs I have run that combo before w/ Koni yellows and it rode and handled incredibly well. I'll give an update on the change in ride quality hopefully sometime tomorrow.

Coming along. It's in the shop getting the cage and stuff installed right now. When it comes out, strait to the paint booth it'll go.

mustangboy
07-02-2009, 06:28 PM
Well got the Strange struts and 350lb Hyper Coil front springs in and all I can say is WOW!! This thing rides so much better. Now the fact that the front struts were junk probably made the biggest difference but the 350lb springs feel great. Craig and Blake thought I was crazy for ordering them but they do not ride rough at all. Now you aren't going to cut amazing 60's with them but it sure does make the car handle a hell of a lot better.

4barrel
07-03-2009, 02:35 PM
How did they affect the stance, if they affected it at all?

mustangboy
07-03-2009, 05:29 PM
Really did not affect it at all eventhough I went from 14in to 12in springs. Im hoping they settle a little

mustangboy
10-03-2009, 07:19 PM
Well I actually still do own this car and believe it or not did drive it this week. I just got it back from getting a new Spec stage 2 clutch and got a chance to put a few miles on it. Big problem now is I'm only getting about 8miles to the gallon so this week it is going to the dyno for some tuning to help that out a little bit and hopefully even make a couple more hp. Also just a sneak peek of what I've been doing this weekend. Hopefully I'll get the tires mounted Mon and everything seals up ok, the joy of 3pc wheels.

what the hell was wrong with your bb? numbers seem crazy low

I don't think there was anything wrong. I think between the auto and the 325/50's it skewed the #'s a bit. The guy I sold it too ran a 7.29 w/ the 3.08 gear. So I think w/a little more gear low 7's maybe even high 6's could have been done. That was pretty much a stock 429 w/ a few mild mods. The track #'s were definately a little better than the dyno #'s

Well I thought I would update this as it has been quite sometime. Still slowly upgrading things here and there. Over the winter we installed a t56 tranny which so far I've been very happy with. With the t5/3.55 combo it never seemed to be in the right gear, now its perfect. Also added a bunch of sport comp 2 guages as well yesterday an AEM wideband. Car also got a new stereo last year as well a MB quart speakers all around. One day I'll get that sub installed for a little boom boom. Next project will to finally remove this old purple window tint and get some nice new tint on there. I've also added Corbeau seats as well as powdered a bunch of the underhood parts so it now looks somewhat presentable. I believe that most of it, I'll get some pics posted up before too long.
