Car wont start HELP.....

ok i recently purchased an 03 Mach 1 , well i lost my keys .
i had a lock smith come out rekey it so i could get it home on the tow truck ( regular key without PATS).

question is can i do away with the pats completly ? or am i at the mercy of the prices of the dealer?
i mean i really hate the PATS System anyways and i would rather do away with it and install an aftermarket alarm and not worry about it anymore.
any advise would be appriciated.

I think you're stuck paying the fee. I've never heard of a way, around it.

There is a way, a buddy of mine used to be able to do it, i just ain't sure how, and i have not talked to him in a while, good luck man.

You might check with some performance shops that work on the computers, they might be able to tell you. Other than that you are stuck buying that expensive ass key.

Cant you program that feature out with a programmer like an SCT? Kill two birds with one stone.
