3rd gear popping out

Has anyone had a problem with 3rd gear popping out when getting on it, this is an 03gt with tremec 3650.

Sounds like your blocker rings are worn out, time to freshen the tranny up.If you have a after market shifter with adjustable stops, make sure it is adjusted properly also.

I just replaced a 3650 for a guy, his 2nd gear was doing the same thing. I would look into upgrading to a better tranny 3650's just don't live behind any kind of horsepower, spirited driving or lots of mileage.

it could be a few things..

has the clutch been adjusted or anything lately?

it could be the blocker rings, or it could be something like a chipped tooth on the gear.

the car has 75k miles on it, its completely stock (tranny wise), never tinkered with, and its the first time its done it. Didn't repeat it, but i didn't take it back up to redline.

My 98 t45 did the same thing.. rebuild..

My nova did this. 4 speed and in 3rd gear. It was a chipped tooth. I could holt it in but and high rpms it would pop out and when I let off the gas it would do it too. Would a broken mount make this happen?
