It's a damn shame there isn't a Denny's any closer than Dayton.
That's a helluva chunk-o-money for a friggin breakfast!
Thanks for the rant and taking the bullet for us Beef, now we know not to go there!

That's a shame my friend. We have a place down here called Ramsey's and for 8.95. You get 3 pancakes, 5 eggs (anyway you like except poached), hash browns, sausage, bacon and 4 pieces of toast.

Most cannot finish it. It's so delicious.

Restaurants charge you for bacon like it's crack. Same goes with cheese. If you ever order a crave case from White Castle, it's around $7 for cheese.

My wife and I go to a small little place in bellebrook called the Blue Berry Cafe to get breakfast once in a while. Its not super cheap but there is no way you will leave hungry. Their "2 egg" omlet is probably 10x7 and is stuffed with plenty goodies. I also like The Original Pancake House. There is one in Montgomery and one in Miamisburg.

I agree, the "greasy spoon" beats out perkins with me hands down.

People have a hard time realizing why everything they purchase is more expensive, then they realize it was their stupid arse voting for the minimum wage increase.... Hello Inflation:(

It's robbery how they charge for breakfast anyways when a dozen eggs is like $1 and a POUND of bacon is only $3-4. It's really BS when you order the breakfast bar and it's $7-8 and everything on it is dried up and stale and the scrambled eggs are liquid anyways.

We don't go out for breakfast much because we can have it for a week with the price of one time eating out.

Mmmmmmmmmm, Ramsey's............ Good thing there is one right down the road from me. :)

If I am spending 8 plus just for breakfast, it better tide me other until dinner. Reminds me to hit up Wolfgang's (http://www.mattwolfgang.com/) this weekend at least once.....

Hyde Park - Cafe Perk (or something like that) next to Arthurs'........yum! really good breakfast food & servers\cooks. Just have to catch it before or after the crowd gets there. Nothing like pushy people....

I agree. Perkins just sucks, plain and simple. Even Bob Evans is better than Perkins.

There's a little spot that I went to with Kevin and Kyle the morning after the Pinks party in Fort Mitchell that was pretty good, they have goetta!

IHOP's down south are much better than the ones up here. There is a "fast food" breakfast chain in Atlanta called Martin's. It's pretty damn good as well.

I am a huge fan of waffle house. Go there every chance I get which is about every four to five months now. Where I am now, I usually just eat three of what they consider 'has browns' because the bacon looks like they cooked it rare like a steak and the rest of the stuff is from the phillipines or something. I have learned quickly that I really took the food we have back in the states for granted. This stuff will keep you from starving, and sometimes they surprise with something really good, but most times, it's one step below MickeyD's. Sorry for the rant, this thread is not only making me hungry, but also missing home and a good meal!!

They closed our local WH for the change of the off ramp from I75. :( Plus you have to remember your not paying for just the food...your paying for the enviroment.:rofl::rofl:

That sounds like the way bacon was served in Australia when we were there. I like mine crispy so I passed on it. It usually kind of questionable in the Caribbean as well.

There's a joint in West Carrollton called Holly's that will fill up a large styrafoam to go box with all the damn biscuits & gravy, eggs, bacon, toast, and sausage your little heart desires for about $6.

How many times have you gotten the "we're out of that" excuse. I ate more bowls of Special K with apple juice than I care to recall. Some times I didn't have to use apple juice because we were either out of cereal or apple juice, or both. Milk, ha, I don't think the Navy had access to milk in the Middle East. It's possible too that all the fat sailors were trying to stock pile the food away from the Marines though.

You should be able to make a mean break since you have been working in the fast food industry all your life. :screwy:
