Ok...I'm watching the AM news, and can someone tell me what the huge effing deal is with this show? I mean, do we really need a 10 minute slot in the news with a guest analyst? And please, does someone have the scoop on why in Gods name are they going ga-ga over that goof ball screaming EMO? He'll win, and we'll never have to hear his EMO ass again. Does it really take a full fucking hour to kick 1 person off this stupid ass show?

...AND did you know they have another stupid ass show ("stupid ass show" is my catch phrase today!:lol:)called American Idol Extra? As if 2 hours of this shit a week insn't enough, they rehash and analize the past show with former rejects from the show, and the worst part is, it's hosted by that stupid bitch Jillian Barberie...she needs to STFU and eat a nutri system meal...hearing her voice is like getting kicked in the junk.

...AND don't even get me started on that damn "dancing with the stars" bullshit! Who gives a shit if a bunch of pampered Hollywood types without real jobs can be trained to dance? What ever happened to good TV shows?

I'll be honest though, I think adam is one of the most talented people who have ever been on the show. I personally can't wait to hear how he interprets the songs each week.

I don't get screaming emo, the guy has an incredible voice and range and really reminds me of some great rock singers like axle rose

he can sing fast, slow, high, low and sound good in every range. And on top of that he comes up with some killer arrangments.

Guess it's just me, but I think we will see a ton of good stuff from that guy for many years.

American Idol is the top rated show every damn week. I don't get it. I guess people get bored in January and start watching it. I admit, I used to be really into it, now I just DVR it, and watch bits and pieces. Adam is a bit emo-ish & i see more 'broadway' in his performances... but he's really got an awesome voice & can do the rock stuff great (if he doesn't gay-it up too much). I just have to say -- - I'm so glad Danny's gone.... i was so over him screaming songs.....

Oh & for Reality TV - -- i'm terrible!! I dvr houswives of orange county \ new york; celebrity apprentice (which was great this year btw) & all sorts of CRAP tv..... hey - i work hard & have to think hard all day i deserve it.

i liked celebrity apprentice too this year, i thought it should have been jesse instead of joan in the finals, her winning was the biggest bunch of crap, annie dominated that show hands down

my wife loves those "housewives, of new york, orange county, etc..

adam has a theatre backround, but i think he's done a great job of steering away from it

his voice is incredible though, and the fact that he can hit those notes over and over and be able to keep singing is awesome too

I DO NOT watch the show. What I am bitching about is having this bullshit tv show shoved up my ass when I am trying to watch the NEWS, or listen to the radio! The only way to keep from being inundated with this bullshit, would be to turn all sources of media off, and never read a paper.

I'll agree with you! I can't stand these shows and I refuse to watch them, but it seems (from media reports), that the runner-ups and semi-finalists, always seem to come out ahead!

I am an AI junkie. i have watched every season, from the top 12 down to the winner. I love it, I cannot help it. i am addicted. And I vote a lot also. I am rooting for Adam also. he is the first gay male who is not flamboyant, and is true to his genre. He has so much voice to share, he could do anything with it.
Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Chris Daughtry are amazing talents. Kelly Pickler has a great country album and tour(although i don't listen to country), Fantasia has made the R&B scene and is great at it (although I don't like that kind of music either), and Bo Bice has been in an out of the old Classic rock style genre for years.
AI has a lot of potential for some really great music/stars. They get their start on AI, then it is up to them to fulfil our expectations of them. Some do, some don't.
I love the show, one of the only reality shows I watch. But if it is not your "cup of tea", change the channel and watch something else....stop bitching about it.

I watch AI, but my favorite is the beginning with all the auditions. I've missed a few weeks of it though because of my work schedule and having to get to bed early. I really wanted to see Allison win, I liked her a lot. But I'm really glad Adam lost, I have NO IDEA why he made it as far as he did. He doesn't even sing, he screams!
