View Full Version : The Best Tubular K Member?

I know it's been debated/discussed in the past on here, but I'll be damned if I can find any of those threads by searching. It seems the "k" is too short and it is omitted from the search. Anywho, I want to get one for the 84 GT, and I was wanting some input from guys that have installed them, and have had them on a STREET car for a period of time. I am wanting to run the stock arms and springs, but will eventually convert to tubular arms an coil overs at a later time. Mild steel, or chromoly? I plan on using stock style engine mounts.
I like how the AJE Racing mounts the engine, it looks like it will yield more space/clearance than the others.

QA1 is junk. Stay far far away. PA Racing, Aje, UPR, MM are some good ones.

2nd that! QA1 is junk and their tech line will tell you to take a come a long to your car! LMAO!

I just trimmed the mounting pad on my old QA1 and it fit perfect. Got it for putting a PA in Cracka coupe.lol It fit perfect the first time though.lol

It fits after you cut the head of the bolt off!! Then it pushes the wheels forward. :(

I have two PAs left. Normally $349.......$275!!

I fixed that with a trim My wheels sat in the stock postion. I got it for a deal so I modified it to fit. If I were to have bought one PA is the way to go. Yours went in perfect the first time!

Haven't got to run mine yet, but I have a Team Z in mine. Fit perfect the first time. I like how the main bar is not 3 pieces welded together, but just one piece like the MM.

PA ! They fit great , have lots of header room and youll get great customer service . Pa racing can also do custom mods to the k/member if needed.

Only if Jason isn't being an asshole on that particular day. My vote is for Team Z, Dave answers questions all the time on the turboforums.

Are they set up to use stock lowers and have the spring perches?
Can they be easily switched to tubular arms and coil overs at a later date?
