Is anyone here using them? Are they any better than the other kinds, and why? Are they worth all the work to put them in? Thanks for any info.

I run them . They tie the frame together and help stiffen the floor pan area. When adding a roll cage they are really nice to tie into the cage also .

I run them also! They really stiffen up the floorboard area as well as tie into the cage. There a pain to put in but worth it in the long run.

Why do you need Frame Ties in a car that only makes 40 ft lbs of torque ???

LMAO

They're better / beefier than a standard subframe connector, but I don't think it's worth the hassle. With help, I did a set on my old 88 coupe, I cut them out and welded the new pieces in, but it's a job and a half. I like my new setup much better, but Kenny Brown went out of business so that isn't an option for you. If it were me, I'd run a full length subframe connector with seat reinforcements and call it a day.

Mine are square tube that ties the front frame rails straight back to the lower torque boxs. They cut though the floor and welded the floor to the square tube. The cage is then welded to the square tube. It makes for a very strong chassis. I think mine are just 2x2 square.
