My day started out pretty good. Did a nice cleaning job wowing the customer as usual. Got home thinking I was going to have to help someone move to a new apartment. Turned out they were finished so I was free. Decided to make a run to the farm. Loaded up the riding lawn mower, some railroad ties from my house and some old bikes and headed to the farm. Well, I had to stop 3 times on the way down to tighten the straps holding everything in the trailer. When I get down to the farm, I learn why there was a cut off valve on the fuel line on the motor. Seems the carb leaks when not running. Wasted about a gallon of gas on the way down.
So I start cutting the grass. There was so much stuff left on the shooting range that I had to run to the barn 2 times to lift up the mower and free up the blades. Well about this time, I am cutting along side the barn where everyone will park their cars for the party and it seems like all the bugs are hitting me in the eyes. I am rubbing them to get the bugs out. Then my allergies start acting up. My nose starts running, I start sneezing my head off, and my right eye almost swells shut. At this point I decide to put the mower away and start to clean up.
I always bring a few firearms with me when ever I go to the farm so i figured i would fire off a few rounds. I had 2 new mags for my ak-47. Turns out they were the wrong ones. They were for a 5.56x45 ammo, not 7.62x39. So I couldn't shoot that one. I then loaded up a 30 round mag for my AR-15. Got 4 rounds into it and it jammed. The empty case was stuck in the chamber. I couldn't get it out and couldn't find a rod small enough to knock it out.
So I am sitting here with a still swolen eye, bug bites from head to toe, and my nose is still running a little.
At least the sun was shining and it was warm. Other than that, this day sucked. I am getting a shower and going to bed.
well think of how much better tomorrow will be. Now go and get some cheese curls, use some scissors to open that pesky bag and get a beer and enjoy.

try the allergy shots man! my wife could not go outside during the summer because of allergies. that was until she started the shots about a year ago. she screwed herself the other day though... she mowed the yard with only a bit of problem. she is now required to mow more often!

Sorry for the whining guys. Just a messed up weekend. I put 860 miles on the exped since friday. I am beat!! As far as the allergies go, just need to go to my chiropracter. He twists my head around a few times, karate chops my neck, and cracks my mid back a few times and I am good till next year.
Coupe is on jack stands till the trans gets rebuilt, rack replaced and bushings replaced. Week and a half tops i hope....

I had a messed up day also. I hate allergies, so i feel bad ya! i got pulled over saturday night. 52 in a 35 zone. no bigiie there. But then i got cited for a dirty plate cover (he couldn't read my tags), apparently my tags were expired, oops and my insurance card was expired. good lord! Gotta go to court in 2 weeks. at least it wasn't my hubby getting pulled over in the TA. He has a warrent out, and would;ve been arrested at that time. hahaha blessing in disguise, i guess.

Fuck Tuesday........and it just got started......I spent the past hour playing a part of the three stooges. I'll explain later...I'm not good at typing stories so it will take some time.
BTW, I found out I'm allergic to Synchromesh transmission fluid......

How Tuesday sucked....so far.
About Midnight I went out to my car to unload a transmission I picked up Sunday in Cbus. Should have done it about 3 PM Monday while mom was away and before the roofers showed up with their trailer.....now parked in the driveway. So instead of a 20 foot tripp with a tranny on my shoulder, it is now about 80 feet.
Open the truck, grab tranny which weighs about 70 lbs empty....hoisted it up on my shoulder. Hear something behind me that sounded like ball bearings fallingout of the tranny, WTF? SO I spin about 90 degrees and see nothing, spin the other way and while I see something on the ground, my back is wet, asshole didn't fully drain the tranny!!!!!
I've no choice but to hold it level and head for the garage, set it down on a plastic crate/container to contain whatever else leaks out, nice trail I left. My back was soaked, some in my hair, tranny fluid running down my arms and legs. Hrm, smells like Pennzoil Synchromesh. I stripped my shirt off and used it as a rag to clean up the trail in the garage floor. Then grabbed a bunch of paper towels for the puddle in the driveway.
All was going OK at this point. WAS.
I know dad had some speedy dry tucked away, where did I put it when I moved everything around??? A HA, I found it, tucked under the workbench. As I'm dragging the 5 gallon bucket out....I bumped a quart jug of 85w90 Gear Oil. It fell off the shelf to the floor 8" below. It hit perfect enough to knock the cap/spout off. Now I have even worse smelling gear oil making a mess.
At least I had the Speedy Dry handy!!!!!! I mopped up what I could with paper towels, then laid down the Speedy Dry and ground it in with my oil soaked shoes, the proceeded to do the same with the driveway. Once that was done I through all the paper towels, my shirt, socks, and old shoes in the garbage.
Walking back to the garage, I stubbed my toe....fuck that hurt!!!!! Get back to the garage to put stuff away I bought at Walmart, carb cleaner and new shoes, great timing right???? Only the trail of tranny fluid soaked the outside of the bag.
You have to be kidding me right????? Lucky the new shoes were fine. Only thing left to do in the garage was pack up a clutch slave cylinder to ship out. Mind you I'm only in shorts...and where is this brake fluid coming from???? FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
I almost took a bath in the garage using Permatex hand cleaner....my skin is nice and soft now though. Lets get out of the garage before I kill myself!!!!
Damage so far, oily from stinky gear oil and a stubbed toe. Time for a beer or two while I take a long cool shower to get cleaned up. Remember how I was barefoot after throwing oily shoes away, and walking around the garage finishing up????? Well while scrubing them in the shower.....I busted my ass, fell in the shower. Woke mom up, I was laughing, but ok.
That was in the first hour of Tuesday..... FML.
Now doing laundry, trying to get the gear oil out of my jean shorts, now 2:10 AM.
Did I mention the roofers????? They will be here at 7 AM to strip the roof of two layers of shingles and lay new ones.
PS: I know have large red itchy patches on my body from where the Synchromesh tranny fluid contacted my skin.

That sucks, Keith. I guess we all have days like that. It seems like I have a lot of them like that, lately. It's no fun at all. I think I just need to get one of those gigantic bubbles and I will be okay. Hopefully I don't get injured in the meantime and can make it to the party. I wanted to actually shoot at this one too... but I wont even have an eye to look out, so maybe next time! I will stay far away from the firearms.... I think that will be the "safest" place for me, unfortunately.

Stacey, it is OK to spray and pray if you want to shoot. Don't let something as trivial as eyesight stand in the way. LOL!!!
