Well thank you for all the help. I went and got the car today. Its a 1985 928s 5speed 32 valve dohc v8. Very smooth and nice. Needs a few here and there things done and a few minor bugs worked out. The gas mileage is far better and still a blast to drive.

well It something different for sure. You have to learn how to launch these things. Doesnt wake up till 2500 to 2800 rpms. Gears are all funny. Reverse is left top. and first is left down. Keep the rpms up and tickets are an easy achievment. Some of the web sites state a 4 or 5 sec 0-60 and 1/4 mile is around 13.5 to 14 stock. Its right under 100,000 miles so its still pretty good. I am going to look into a chip and down the road see about changing the gears. I dont know what in it, yet, but I would like at least some 373's. I hope to have it at the milford cruis in friday night.

Those are some of my favorite Porsches. It doesn't take much to make them look really badass.

There's a local guy that has a twin turbo kit for them. Made 500 rwhp on a 100,000 mile+ engine on my dyno.

The heads on those remind me of Modular 4v heads but don't have a follower.

I talked to a guy at a UDF that had one. It was modded and sounded F1-ish.

Sean, check the maintenance history of the car, timing components, water pumps & cam tower & cam seals are the most important things to stay up on on these cars. Other than that these cars are bullet proof, I worked for Porsche for 13 years, if you need any tech help let me know I still work for the same company just at a different dealership. Enjoy the 928!!!

I sold cars for @ 11 years or more. I promise you I am just as bad as him. I hope to keep this one.
