Hey Guys & Gals,

Has anyone heard of doing the Stock '03/'04 Cobra Fuel Pump and Tank Conversion in a '98 Cobra? I am thinking of doing this umong the many bazillion other upgrades that I have planned over the next few months. Will I run into any major electrical issues, or will changing the connectors be suffice? Any guidence is greatly appreicated...

I'm not really sure why you would go that route. What are the advantages suppose to be? What kind of upgrades do you have planned? You might have some issues since the 98's and early have return style fuel systems and the 03/04 Cobras had returnless fuel systems.

I guess my idea has stemmed from the "dual pump" setup that the '03/'04 have, like the extra power output of the GT pumps....

Just kindof looking for some insight to help me along with the direction I want to take....

I recently purchased a set of IMRC Delete plates from MMR (Modular Mustang Racing) due to the constant troubles I have had recently with my factory IMRC setup..

an in tank, drop in 255 lph pump should be more than enough at this point.

the cobra pumps are designed for a returnless system and run off pulse with modulation. Your system is a return style. Just go with a 255 walbro. Here is a little secret, if you want to get a 255 pump with out ordering it from jegs or speed shop, go to Advance Auto Parts and they will price match the pump. They got it for me the very next morning.
