My brother has a ppi 2150 amplifier that after twenty years has finally went belly up. I know this amp to most is ancient, but twenty years after it was made, they are still hard to beat.

Anyway, there used to be electronic repairmen locally, but not anymore. In the digital age you just throw it away in when it breaks. But this is a power hungry, analog, kick ass amp.

So if anyone knows someone or someplace that still repairs electronics, let me know. Thanks, Brian

PPI art series amps are still best looking ever in my book! I have a PPI A204 sitting in my study that is pristine. I don't have anything to put it in but its too pretty to get rid of it.

You might try contacting PPI. I know Phoenix Gold repaired an MS274 that I had 5 or 6 years ago.

I'm more partial to the AM series, they have real heat sinks.

I called PPI who doesn't repair amps at there location, and was referred to D.E.I., who bought PPI, and was stuck on terminal hold.

2350's Kick ass, and alot of it. There are a lot of old school amps that still great. Linear Power, the old Rockford Fosgate, Orion hcca, Soundstream reference. Basically anything late 80's early 90's high end class a amps were great. Most amps today are class D, which aren't always bad, but not my cup of tea.

I've sent an email for a rough estimate of cost. The site lists repair costs based on retail cost of the amp. I don't agree with that philosophy, but they can probably get it running again.

BTW, cool picture! :D

For those that coudn't see what IBSTROKIN' is talking about in the picture, I used Photoshop to make a specific area easier to see.

I've been told to check into these companies. I've already sent emails to both.
