I have a 5 year old fridge that is acting up, anybody know a trustworthy repairman? Let me know.

No matter what setting you put it on 1-5 it seems to freeze items in the fridge compartment, also it is dripping water from the top near the freezer.

clogged drain/froze up, empty it out and let set for 24-48 hours to thaw, snake out the drain line if you can.

Last resort is to tear it apart to get at the drain line......I was successful last time.

yep like Bone said. clogged drain is freezing up everything else. let it thaw out if you can. If you can take it outside it might be better and less mess.

I just had to get a new fridge too. The old one was a GE and instead of a traditional defrost timer, there is a computer board on the back of them that went out on mine. It let the freezer freeze up, and it also controls the fan that blows cold air over the refrigeration side. I was told GE's are bad for that. All my vegies were frozen solid, that's when I knew there was a problem with mine.

Thanks Guys it worked!!! The drain was frozen, thawed it out run water through the drain plugged it back in & it's working like new:bigthumb:bigthumb
