engine noise

Had a real bad tick coming from right side of motor.Well the tick turned into a knock.So I took it to the dealer and they said the #8 cylinder had blown the spark plug out.They told me they would they would fix it on the car for 1600
bux but they wont give me a warranty for the work or they will give me a warranty if they take the head completly off for 6000 dollars:eek:he said they would have to pull the motor to do so?Do you have to pull the motor?The motor has a 36 month 75,000 mile warranty that they wont honor because the other 3 spark plugs were not tourqed to the right specs.I think they just dont want to work on it because its warr:AR15:anty work just my opinion.

I've done a few of these on the car there not that bad. I don't know where exactly your at but there has to be shops close that are more than willing to do that job for alot less. We've done a few and even stock the kit and inserts for just this reason. Who put the plugs in? Did they torque them?

Do not know who put the plugs in.Talked to the warranty people and they told me to take it to another dealer.So im going to try that first.

Just dropped the car off at another dealer tonight lets hope they can fix it with no problems.

The dealer called me the other day and said he would have it done by thurs.Thats pretty funny how:flipoff: Harrison Ford (Cronin):flipoff: would not cover it but the other dealer said no problem and just ordered a new head to fix it right.Should of taken it to Colerain Ford in the first place.

Well still waiting to get my car back from dealer he said it will be done by sat. but I won't be holding my breath.My insider told me that they keep putting my car off because its warrenty work and taking care of the cash paying customers.Sucks I want my car back:mad:

keep calling them up. tell them its your only mode of transport and you need it back or another car to drive in the mean time.

Thanks.Called them and they put me in a 2009 f-150 nice truck free of charge.I told them to just take their time and get it done right.:bigthumb
