drill bit through the thumb

well yesterday was definately not my day. To start the day i find out my checking account bounced because summits online store had some sort of cluster fuck and some how charged me for two harmonic balancers. I find out the order was cancelled because it was a duplicate how ever they withdrew the money for both balancers so im 300 bucks short until thurs when they can replace the money in my acct. After all the frustration with summit i decide to work on building my cornhole boards. Im using my electric drill with a phillips bit on it when the drills jumps off the screw and right through my thumb. RIGHT THROUGH THE TOP OF MY NAIL AND CLEAR OUT THE BOTTOM!!!!Ive actually got a + for a thumbprint now no joke. i was so pissed there was no words or actions to describe it so today i said fuck it and took off a half day of work and spent it at the doctors office then proceeded on to somewhere to get a tetnis shot nobody was available anywhwere so if i come down with lock jaw im going to be very upset then i had to have x rays only to find out the tip of my finger is still intact. i cant wait to receive the bills from this visit.

That sounded painful. Hydrogen peroxide the heck out of it and some anti biotic ointment should help. 12 oz painkillers help too.

Ok this is going to sound bad, but I dont think I am the only one wandering.....
Post up a pic of the thumb or at least get us a pic of the plus sign thumbprint. It hurts just thinking about it but you may as well do something memorable with it.

ooowwweee ooowwweeeeee That sucks maaaan. Right through the nail.... There are few things that just to think about makes me hurt and thats def one of them. I have had all sorts of painful things happen from teeth to cuts to the bone to a cement railroad tie taking a crevace out of my side. (long story) Hell I give myself a shot in the stomach every week.... But the nail thing gets me every time..... OUCH

yea i would agree anything with fingernails hurts. At first i thought i just smashed it really good then i seen all of the blood and knew it was more than a smash. And i did work on my cornhole boards some tonight so those are still getting built haha with the bloodstains on them

Leave the stains on the cornhole boards. Gives them character. Put a few fingerprints on them as well. Daum that must have hurt!!!

older guy i work with, was helping another guy remodel his house and was using a big nail gun, shot one right through his hand, pulled it our and just kept on going down the line on the floor they were putting in

blew my mind man, guy is old school and literally tough as nails

The guy I used to work for,his brother was bein a hard ass and explaining how dangerous the air nailer is.Later that day he was holding the trigger and brushed his kneecap and shot a nail into his foot nailing it to the 3/4" TG plywood.

buddy of mine took a cordless drill with a phillips in it right to the forehead after it slid off of a roof. Believe it or not yelling HEADS UP sometimes has the opposite affect.
