Neighbor kid was outside trying to jump his car last night. He's new to the area so I figured I'd stop by and say hello.
New purchase for him. 90(?) Mustang GT, vert. Car won't start. Won't even kick over the starter. He had good connections on the battery and a big truck giving it plenty of juice. It ran the morning before, but he said he noticed he didn't close the door fully and thought the dome light had stayed on all night.
Main thing I noticed when I went to turn the key, there was no resistance in the "Start" position. It goes all the way back and stays there. The "Accessory" position doesn't light anything up either. I expected the radio or fan to come on.
How hard are ignition switches to replace? Are they the same as the 80's T-bird (I have a manual for the T-bird)?
