I have been offered this car for my porsche and wanted to see if there was any interest in it. 6500. I want to stress i do not have this car yet be I can get it if someone wants it. It is very clean inside and out. this is info the owner sent me.

the car car is 100% solid with no rust it was restored and done right title is clear and says trans am on it 55k origional miles on car the built 383 puts out close to about 450 HP it ran a mid 13 at the track let me know what you think

the motor is fully built with TRW forged pistons scat i beam rods and 383 stroker crank also has high volume oil pump with 7qt moroso oil pan the top end consists of dart ported heads with matching wiand x celerater intake the heads have stainless valve terain with firm springs for the crane cam the cam is mild but still has a pretty wicked sound at idle also has crane roler rockers and lifters with hardened pushrods has a holly 750 double pumper carb with a holly fuel pump to match it hooker full length headers with to 3 inch collectors stainless flowmaster 40 series muflers the engine was assembled with apr studs all the way around. now for the transmission it is a built turbo 350 with a b&m shift kit with a b&m 2200 stall converter when the car was finished there was only rust in a couple spots the passenger quarter and on the passenger floor pannel the whole floor pannel was replaced and a new quarter pannel was put on the paint is only a few years old which is a cross between bronze and silver metalflake the tires are almost brand new BF goodrich the brakes are new all the way around the seats in the car are origional and are in very good shape the carpet was replaced along with the floorpan all the body mounts are new and polyurathane the rear end is built 10 bolt with 3:73 gears and has air shocks in the rear. the car is very very solid not a single bit of rust im really meticulous about that kind of stuff. the engine could easily handle boost for a turbo or supercharger because thats why it was built

I do too, I think this was done to keep weight to a minimum or when it was restored these were the parts they found that werent all rusted out. I figured it was a firebird but was told the title says trans am.

Looks like a firechicken to me. My T/A had a machine turned dash bezel and T/A badging thru out. The fenders dont have the ducts in them and as stated its missing a few other things. Id pass on it.

No rear spoiler and no shaker. I would pass on it. My 77 ta had the rear spoiler and shaker And cents on fenders and brushed aluminum dash. I would pass.

yes sir, all mine had that shiny dash on it too. I never liked it to much. I am going to ask where the hood and spoilers went. Looks like a t/a with firebird parts. But will the firebird clone bring in 6000 being so clean?

I'd wanna see some dyno sheets. 450hp does not equal 13's and there is a 9.67 on the window which I'm guessing is 1/8 mile. That car maybe makes 250hp

I asked for dyno sheets and time slips from the 13 1/4 mile run. If that car has 450 hp and a decent driver what should the 1/4 mile be around

I think i'd pass on this one, I know my unlce has a 76 T/A that I've been trying to get forever, and I've seen a few really nice one's lately and 6k had better be a pretty stand up T/A

yea thats the feeling I am getting too. If it had all the spoilers and shaker hood i would be in because it is very very clean. I dont even need to bird on the hood but I think I will continue to try to sell the porsche. thanks guys I do appreciate the input. I just need 6000 lol

I asked for dyno sheets and time slips from the 13 1/4 mile run. If that car has 450 hp and a decent driver what should the 1/4 mile be around should run 12's no prob . but like msuatngboy says i bet the 9.xx is the 8th mile and thats what 14's

man you will get offered all kinds of shit for your car... no one seems to have any money but trades always are there ... wait until you get a good trade on what you want cause you dont want to get stuck with someone elses junk

Porsche's seem to always be a hard sell. Everyone is affraid of the repair costs. I personally think you have one of the best ones made and if I had the extra money and space I would buy it from you. Good luck with the sell.

Did you check out any porsche web sites? I would post it there. People who know the car's value may offer you more. If you post it there, play dumb. Let them offer. They know porsches better than you or me etc... Good luck with it Sean!!
