Somernites Power Cruise 2009

This is typically the biggest show of the Somernites Cruise season. The Power Cruise sponsored by Holley will start rolling into town around Noon this coming Saturday. Pre-registration is NOT necessary and as always this a FREE event to anyone wanting to participate. Complete info can be found here...

...just click on the city you will be cruising from.

The tour legs will be leaving the morning of July 25th from Nashville, TN; Knoxville, TN; Cincinnati, OH; Louisville, KY and Bowling Green, KY. There will be Friday night activities in each city as well. Saturday morning rally points may differ slightly from the Friday night venues so, read the info on our website carefully. The staging area for PC participants, before heading to the Show & Shine this year, is Grand Central Shopping Center at stoplight #18 and merchants there have some special activities planned for all participants. We will have a special 'Power Cruise only' entrance gate set up on the south end of town next to the new Somerset Library. All Power Cruise participants will receive a free window sticker to commemorate the 2009 event.

Holley Performance will be setup on the Square at the Show & Shine and will be selling parts, t-shirts, signs, etc. and answering performance questions if you have them. Holley is also providing some great door prizes...a Holley carb, NOS nitrous kit, Weiand intake of your choice, Earls fuel line plumbing kit and more. Danny's Rod Shop and PUI Interiors will also be on the Square in addition to a Pepsi Nascar display and a Indy car. There will probably be a few other surprises as well.

If you live along the route that any of the Power Cruise legs will be taking heading toward Somerset, you should consider jumping in line at the back and rolling down the road with everyone else. Everyone seems to have a blast on this every year. You can even form your own small leg of the Power Cruise with your friends.
It would be great if everyone would help spread the word in the different towns you live in. It would be cool to see about 1600+ cars at the Show & Shine and we are working on making that happen. I would also recommend sticking around for some fun 'cruisin' the strip' afterward as well.

Looks pretty cool. I did notice that the next show in August is designated with a special Mustang section!
