does anyne kow if a mark8 engine will drop in a 96gt and plug in ? :confused:

It won't "plug in" but it will fit.
97-98 LSC are the same as cobra motors.

If you can come up with the wiring harnes, intake, and throttle cable from a 96-98 Cobra it should be much easier.

it does come with cobra intake. do you guys know what all will have to be done (wiring)
do i have to use pcm from lincoln ?

You should be able to use the orginal computer with a tune. I beleive you can make the GT wiring harness work but it requires some the wire to lengthened.

the cams, intake and crank are different.

i believe he 97-98 lsc uses COPS ignition when i did my 98 gt i used the 98 harness and coil packs and computer! i used all the 2V sensors and bought a 98 cobra rear coolant lines from the head to the heater core!

the only wire i had to lengthen was the IAC sensor wires and you will have to delete the imrc butter flies your comp. won't run that!

If you use the GT computer, my bet is you'll have to delete the IMRCs on the Mk8 motor. It's easy and I would recommend anyway, especially if it comes with the Cobra intake.
