My a/c evaperator tube has a hole burned through it from rubbing on the exhaust header. Can I use JB Weld to patch it?

Not big. It's more like a slit that's opened about as thick as a penny and 1/4 inch long.

Would soldering hold it you think?

How do you think AC systems are put together?

Sand, clean, flux, torch.

Depending on the location and size of the line, cut out the split and insert a copper fitting? If the line is Alum. it gets touchy as you can burn up the alum easy. Apply heat to the copper and let it draw the solder in.

Soldering in a copper tee is fun since all three joints wanna melt about the same time.

I would if it were only $20. But on a ranger it's $190 :(
