Rumor has it, there is a big wig for ford that lives somewhere close to Thornhill drag strip in Kenton County. Reason Im asking, this person is test driving a 2011 6.7 liter diesel truck in camo. Who would have thought we would have someone close to us driving something new and demoing it for Ford. Rumor has it, this will be the one and only diesel engine worth having! If anyone has seen this truck or if you know who it is, either leave me a message here or send me a private message. Thanks!!

It is indeed a test truck (one of several), not necessarily driven by a Ford big shot.....

The new diesel will kick the crap out of the old 7.3, its a whole new design. It's coupled to one of the beefiest autos I have ever seen.

Before the 6.4 Powerstroke came out the test trucks were all over NKY. 2 or 3 in Alexandria alone several times a week. I've seen the "4500" Dodge/Sterling cab and chassis trucks on I471 before they hit the market too.

From people I've talked to, the new Cummins have issues with injectors, and particulate trap problems. My uncle has one that back in the shop to have 3 of the injectors replaced (again), and it's a big flap because they are the same 3 that have been replaced twice before, and they are $2k a pop, and Cummins is balking at paying for them.

Ya, a guy I work with has a 08 cummins..he said it runs great..It's just been towed to the shop 2 out of 6 times it has been there for injectors and check engine light..
