All you have to do is find someone else to kick in the $4500 by promising to pay them for it later, then never do it. Oh wait, that probably only works if you're the government.

I can't believe the dealerships went hook, line, and sinker for that old gag. Checks in the mail boys!!!!! Honest. We'll will pay you oh, some day.

When I was in the military(back in the old days ha!), you learned quickly that when you owethe govt., they take it NOW!! If you are owed by the govbernment you'll get it when they get around to sending it. Kind've like tax return checks but way, way worse.

I know how you feel. I have had my 04 cobra up for sale for almost a year and can't get it sold. I figured when I put it up it would be gone within a week...boy was I wrong.

I put my 03 GT up in Autotrader last week Friday and it was sold on Monday. I didn't get as much as I wanted but I got my minimum so I'm happy.

How long would it take you to process 500,000 applications from dealers, some of which were incomplete? From reading Beefcake's post, dealers are getting paid. If the dealers didn't want to participate, no one was holding a gun to their heads. Right?

Yea it's on SVT Performance...Ford Fan put it on there for me. Iv had a few calls and thats about it. I figured i'd sell that bitch in a hearbeat...but no luck here. The guys that have called pretty much wanted me to give it to them. I would like to sell it but damn I got to at least get pay off.

Just sold my baby an hour ago. Not buying a replacement right now. Gonna pay off credit cards and then sock the $500 a month away (pymt plus gas) until hubby graduates next year. I promissed him a corvette when he graduated...this is how it will happen. So, we will be WITHOUT horspower for a year until then. I have had to choke back tears already. When I got the call that it was sold, my stomach dropped. Sad, sad day for me.

My car is getting sold to pay off some of my wifes medical bills, and on a plus side I think it may be going to a good friend who I will know will take care of it.

All it takes is time. If you are in a hurry to sell your car, you never will unless you give it away it seems. I have patience and can wait until it turns to dust in the garage! lol. The economy is very bad. Everyone is feeling it, especially up here in Dayton. Business is slower than usual, that's for sure. Sad to see so many giving up their dream cars, but it seems like it is at least for good reasons.
