I am looking to buy some black Dupont Imron. I can not find any local stores selling it...at least by checking online. Does anyone know where I can get this stuff at?

I have never seen it in a spray can. There is a product that has a container of aerosol and a cup that lets you add what ever you want to spray. Might be cheaper to buy a spray gun though. Imron is nasty stuff and the over spray with stick to anything that it lands on. cover up good and buy a respirator

347sc is absolutely correct - and I am not kidding around one bit here - DO NOT for any reason spray Imron without a respirator (a good one!) This is some nasty stuff. I know of someone that was hospitalized for breathing the vapors. If you are doing it in your garage make sure your family and pets are not around and let everything air out for an hour before they come back.

Yes no joke. It will stick to you eye balls. I used a fresh air system when I sprayed but anything exposed was cover. Very nasty

No it is a very durable fleet paint that is used on Semi Trucks. Very chip resistant and tough. The black shines like a diamond. I have painted a lot of Jeeps and heavy trucks with it.

The wheels on my SSP were painted with the stuff when it was restored. I have an extra set of 10 holes I was going to have Mustangboy powdercoat, but after seeing the wheels painted with Imron I thought I would just paint them like the others.

Thanks for all the info guys! :bigthumb

I like using PPG chassis black, it is a single stage paint it holds up and shines great.

im not sure if you can even get it anymore . years ago i worked at a place that mixed it and 1 day they came in and pulled it off the shelves . we were told not to even sell reducer or hardener for it
