free mp4 to mp3 converter (safe)

looking for something to convert my itunes to a usb to play through my sync system

anyone know a safe place to download one?

guess i need something that does m4b m4a mp4 etc...

so confusing, i was looking through my itunes library and there are like 3 different file types, is there something that will just take all of em and convert em over to the mp3?
