My parking brake will not hold the vehicle...the pads are in good shape? Is there anykind of adjustment? It's a 2000 GT

The adjustment is made by pulling and releasing quickly until it's firm but your cable may be stretched. just throw on a new one.
mine sticks. If I use it I have to go move it around to get it to loosen up

depends on how loose it is. After a brake job I had to do it almost 20 or so times.
if it's not working your cable is most likely stretched.

Tryed it and it didn't work...looking in the manual...does it have a front and rear cable?

There is a little adjustment where it goes from a single cable to the dual cable if I Rember correctly. Its a bolt you can adjust...
