Ok so I am very pissed right now and have been for a while at this situation. Back in the 90's I had a buddy that lived in a crappy area. He was getting nowhere and the people he lived with were stealing from him. He expressed to me that he wanted to move and i told him I would help him find a place. So I looked and could not find anything in a better area than he was in for the money he had. My wife and I talked and out of the kindness of our hearts we let him move in with us. We were like family. He had some bills to pay I provided him with transportation, put him on my insurence and everything was great. He was in a great area where he was safe and he didnt have to worry about his things getting stolen. He lived with us for years. I helped him through his dad passing away and anytime he needed any help I was right there for him as he was for me. He was that kid with the thick glasses that everyone picked on and he got beaten up in school. Hell he was a virgin untill he was in his early 20's. So after some years he meets this crack whore and moves into a shitty hotel downtown with her out of the blue and stops paying all of his bills. At the same time I got let go from my job and we were screwed. He knew that and still basically told me tough shit. This girl stole his car/ my car that he was buying from me. Her brother steals his atm card and takes all his money and he has no where to go. So I let him come back home. I soon find out that she got him smoking weed (I dont but I dont really care about weed) and sniffing cocaine. That I have a problem with. It got bad with that and oxy's and all sorts of other pills being snorted. I helped him through that but I think he still uses. So we get through that and a few other things and His looser ass needs a car. I get laid off in december of 08 and we have a few cars that are either going to be repos or we figure something out. I let my eclipse GSX go. The wife takes over my merc mariner and we are left with this 01 cougar. He needs a car so I let him take over payments. I put him back on my insurence and all is mostly ok. Around december of 08 someone hits him. He gets the insurence check and keeps the money and doesnt fix the car. Then about a month ago the tranny goes out. Now he has trashed the inside of this car, I can fix that. The outside is messed up but I feel i can also fix that to an extent. BUT the tranny is shot. Goes in drive and moves a little around 5500 rpms but reverse works great. I get a text from him yesterday that he cant afford the car and is going to have to let it go. What a freaking dick. He has been at mommys apt with her alcaholic boyfriend and his truck driving sisters boyfriend. He also got a ticket 2 months ago that he didnt pay or go to court for and now has a warrent and a suspended liscence over. I think i am going to call the police next time he is driving mommys truck and have him taken in and the truck impounded. So after all this I am telling him to fuck off and hes out. 30 days to get his nasty room cleaned or i will throw everything away. The real problem is I am still out of work and with him not here the wife and I will have to pull @ 700 more a month out of our asses to pay all the bills. we have a 3 bedroom place so he would have a room. So I am stuck with a car that needs a tranny. I posted up in the wanted section and I guess I will go from there.
If you read all this sorry for typoes and length. I figured if I did it here I wouldnt go kick the shit out of him when he left work tonight.
well thats it. I am going out for a drive and I may see if he is still at work. lol

No good deed goes unpunished.

Cut your losses, you can't help him. The quicker you get him out of your life the better off you'll be. You'll find a way to make the bills. Keep in mind that he's not your problem and he'll never grow up with everyone helping him out of every bad situation he finds himself in. Chalk it up to experience, some people just can't be helped. I've got family that falls into that same category of completely worthless human beings.

Where I'm from we call them derilicts. Every family has one. If your reading this and nodding your head that no your family doesn't- your probably it:lol:. I say kick him to the curb and count your losses up to experience. You can't help someone who can't/won't help themselves. Good luck.

Sounds like an O' so familiar story. I had a similar deal with my cousin it just only lasted a couple months. 2 days after he moved out he came and kicked my door in and robbed my house.....hooked on crack I was told.

I have rendered the locks unusable. For now garage door openers is the only access. And since I dont work I am usually home and if he tries to break in he knows how he will be delt with. We play around punching eachother every once in a while and I make sure I playfully knock the shit out of him at least once. I am not some hard ass but I can hit and he knows this. I started that a long time ago so he would have it in his head that if he ever crossed me or tried anything with the wife or daughter I would have no problem dealing with him. I didnt bully him, we were friends. I am sure you guys play around punching eachother and know who you dont want to mess with. He also knows I dont believe in holding back if your coming at me. He knows if you break into my house and try to do harm to me or my daughter I will fight back as hard as I can and do my best to see to it that you wont get a second chance to bring friends over and try it again. I hope you dont take this wrong but I believe if someone comes into your house trying to hurt you or your family, weather it be robbing, raping, or god knows I dont think they should be able to hurt any one else or come back to try again.

well dude the only problem there is that he's established residency....( you need to go through proper eviction process) they can do an emergency one if need be. I know I just went through this with my brother who wasnt even on my lease..... why do you think my 360 is jacked up cause while the cops made me stay at my dads while he moved (after his ass whoopn) he took my 360, had it for about a week while the cops were looking for him and one day bam it's sitting on my door step I'm thinking sweet got my 360 back..... nope he stuffed salami in it!!!! people like that don't want help, they want to think they are getting over on someone.......

Unless at least one bill is in his name or he is paying rent you don't have to evict him. If one single bill for the place....phone,electric,satelite,cable anything is in his name you have to give him 30 days notice. The same goes for if he pays you rent.

Well talk to Union Township and Pierce township they told me just because he's there has clothes and what not that he's established residency........ cause none of the bills were in his name.... this was just maybe like 2-3 months ago

I have no problem giving him 30 days. He would need 100 to find a place he can afford to store all his shit. The locke were changed because " I lost my house key." At least thats what I am saying. I cant get ahold of him to " give him his key." I will document the 30 days notice and after I hand deliver it to him he can make an appointment to get his stuff. After that there will be a lot of shit for rumpke to pick up.

I don't believe nothing Union Township tells me. That has to be the most corrupt bunch of useless trash anywhere around here.
When I kicked my ex out she tried telling me I had to give her 30 days notice so I told her to call the police, she did. They came and asked her to prove one bill in her name or proof that she paid anything in the house or to me. When she told them she could not they told her to leave.
I'd boot his ass out and let him take me to court, then throw up the car issues,etc....see who wins what then. Not that a judgement will get you much.

Going to court with him would be a total waste of time. If he showed up, wich he prob wouldnt I would never get my money. I am the kind of guy who will do everything right and let it end nicly and after some time... even a year or so I will get my payback.

oh no Alan I kicked his ass then kicked his ass out, he called UT for assault but he came at me first, they made me stay at my dads while he moved but I was telling them all I was is him out, they said they couldnt make him cause he established residency, I said how, he doesnt work, he isnt on the lease, he has nothing there in his name, so on and so on I wanted to smack the piss outta that boy (cop) they kept telling me how lucky I was they were taking me in cause I kicked his ass and I was like he came charging at me what was I suppose to do........ they were like you should have walked away blah blah blah..... hate freakn UT and the bad thing was no cops were at my place while he moved so he trashed a bunch of stuff, stole everything he could even my daum Jordan's, now he's in hiding just wait till I see him again....... he thinks he got it bad the first time, now i've got about $1500 worth to take out of his hide....... I'll never help anyone in that situation again, never....... it's bad when you can't even trust family.

just realize he's already getting his by loosing the trust of a good friend.... like my brother it's his loss not mine.... he lost a home, and most importantly a brother, this was his third strike I wouldnt piss on him to put him out if he was on fire

That is the exact same position I took about my cousin. I want nothing to do with him. Revenge always seems like a great idea but the best revenge can sometimes be doing nothing.

He has given me enough reason to throw him out and get him in trouble with the police with the warrant and suspended liscense thing. Right now I will bide my time untill he is getting back on his feet then I will take care of him. He will never get off the drugs and I can very easily set him up if I have some sort of trust with him. By not kicking his ass now and getting very little gratification I can really screw him over later. And I guess if he gets off the drugs I will wate a while and trash whatever car he ends up getting. He will have one soon enough.
ON the plus side if I get lucky and find a way to fix this thing cheeply I will have a new dd and I will have saved this car from any further destruction. Stupid ass hat messing up the tranny. It is a cool little car. I drove it to florida once with the wife and it was great. Although its a damn shame we still owe 5000 on it. OUCH

I feel your pain...But things like him not keeping the room clean, which is really your room, is no you. You should have set the tone right a-way. if you live in my house, then live here by my rules. This would include cleaning up after yourself and your room. I think you might be to blame for some of the bad luck.....Sometimes if there are no consequences, then there is no change. !
