OK, this will likely come across as a dumb question, but I'll throw it out anyways. What is the quickest time you can turn in a vert w/o a rollbar? There are a couple of tracks close to Dayton (Kilcare, and Edgewater I think??) that I was thinking of taking the car to on a test/tune night. However, I don't have a rollbar in the car, so not quite sure if it is worth my time to go or not.

No matter what your time is, w/ a vert, you have to have a helmet. Even if you run a 15, you still need it. Now, when it comes to the roll bar, I really don't know on that one. Not sure if the regular rules apply or not.

I THINK, You need a rool bar in a regular street car at 11.5, and then a cage once you get lower into the 11's. I am not there, so I really don't know, maybe some of the other guys will chime in and correct me.

Convertables ALWAYS require a helmet. Roll bar is required at 13.49 or quicker per NHRA

Tri-state is least likely to hassle you over it and Edgewater is most likely. Kilkare falls somewhere in between and depends on the way the wind is blowing, what kind of day the person had, etc. I have seen at least one memeber of this site make number 10 and 11 second passes without a helmet and have seen one person make a 9 second pass with a helmet but no roll bar.

:Thanks for the inputs. If my car doesn't run faster than a 13.49, I'll burn it to the ground on the spot! :D That being said, I guess I'll have to shoot for the more lenient strips! I always have trouble hooking-up, but the car should at least land in the 12's even with tire spin...
