tonight i put a new powermaster starter on my car, and when i was done and went to fire it up-nothing but a click...on the starter there are two posts. one says ignition, and the other says battery. the ignition post is wired up to the "switched" side of the solenoid, and the battery is on the "hot" side. this is apparently wrong, or it should be firing, right? any tips?

Did the starter click or the solenoid?

What's the battery like? If you jump it does it do anything different?

solenoid clicked. battery is charged. i've got an idea for it. going to try tomorrow
