Just wondering if anyone can explain them to me. What do they do? Do i need them? what are the up of keeping them compared to the downfalls (if any)?

Ive searched the internet with no definitive answer so can someone help me out?

They help prevent wheel hop when taking off under acceleration. Some say if you get a good set of Lower control arms that theres no need for them. Others say Ford put them on to correct the bad wheel hop a Mustang has without them and should leave them on. I wouldnt take them off if it was me but thats just me.

take them off throw them away and buy you some good lower control arms. They just help prevent wheel hop like he said above

Exactly. If you buy a good set of lower control arms you do not need them. I called Ford Racing to ask them the same question years ago when I was building my 92 LX. I was upgrading to Hotckins control arms. It was then I was told to ditch them. Also it will allow you to run a wider wheel with less chance of rubbing.
