I am curious if anyone has recently had their stock E7 heads rebuilt and what the cost was. Not looking for anything fancy to be done just a stock rebuild as it is for my SSP....well maybe a little porting wouldn't hurt. :D

Also can anyone recommend some shops for this work. The closer to Middletown / Dayton the better, but I do not mind going to Cincy area. I am not planning on doing this until winter, but I am trying to get an idea of cost and so forth.

Thanks!

$250-$300 sounds about right. I suggest using Steve Barker to do them. Every set of heads he has done for me the car has made considerably more power for no good reason.
He did a set for a supercoupe for a customer of mine and that car has been down right impressive, considering it has absolutely no performance modifications, all stock and ran low 14's

Steve is on Jackson pike in Batavia township. I don't have his number on hand but if you want to stop by here on the way I'll gladly run you over there.
He does great work reasonably. I think he named the shop Barker Machine service or something like that. If I could locate my book I'd post his number.

Dayton Performance did my 4v heads, I'm sure they could handle your E7s.

Mike use to run a set of ported E7's in real street that he did that worked pretty damn well.

I'll second that. Give Matt a call at the shop. I am sure he can get you squared away and for a fair price.

there is NO way in this world, that i would fork out $250-$300 to rebuild some e7te heads ... as far as porting them, thats like pissing in the wind ... you may get flow numbers from the 150's up to the 160's on the intake side at best

It was just for a regular Mustang I would not either. But being this is a collector SSP and having the correct parts is what keeps the value.

To give you an idea here is a restored GSP SSP Mustang with probably close to 150k miles on her. Take a look what the bidding is up to with almost 8 days left.
