Im thinking about replacing my stage II ported heads for the new Trick Flow set. Does anyone think that it will be a big improvement since i'm already running boost? Or should i say is it worth an extra $1900? :confused:

Who's heads do you have now?

I wouldn't be surprised to see you pick up another 50-75 HP with the trick flow heads in a boosted application.

You will benefit more from a built shortblock and turning up the boost. Your going to need a built tranny as well. Im not sure how much more the TF heads will flow more than stock ported heads. I cant imagine any more than 20 rwhp with your current mods and maybe 50-60hp with a fully built motor and more boost.

out of the box the TFS heads flow ~20 CFM over the best ported PI heads.

It depends on your goals really. If you want the most power then yes, but I would say you would be best to spend a few hundred more and get a ported set from Nick McKinney at Modular Head Shop or Ron at Fox Lake. I would think you will see 40+ CFM over the Patriot's with less boost but more power.

Sounds like a plan in the short future. Im getting ready to pull my engine soon to make way for a new shortblock. I have a rod knocking:eek: so i can always put my patriot heads on my wifes 02 GT or on my moms 00 GT.
