I figured its time to start a build thread for my lightning. I'm tired of it sitting around just going to waste. I sent the truck over to 347 SC last week to get an all over paint job. After the paint comes the long tubes and X pipe and some small bolt ons. I'm researching now just how far I can go with the factory speed density ECM. I would like to put a blower on the truck this winter if I can find a decent deal. The truck is also getting a set of the newer 99+ lightning wheels and lowered a few inches.
I should have some pics of the progress tonight. Also I'm undecided on going back to the factory red or a two tone black on top red on bottom.

Hey great to see you doing something with that truck dude! Bo will do a great job on it. And I would like to see it sporting some kind of forced induction too.

Might give it a rear mounted turbo setup......I was a hater of them in the beginning but with the truck I can do it cheap and very easily. Does anyone know how well the speed density will do with some 42's and a tune?

Thats RL's truck...He was on the board a long time ago. I was actually going to call him and ask him about the mass air conversion he did.

Rls mass air conversion was out of a van. I remember hims saying it was alot of work. I can tell you after driving Rob's truck my stock Lightning felt like an Escort. Thats Don's truck

Ya...rob's truck made nice power. He built the turbo kit himself. I have rob's phone number if you need it. He and Don do the tuning on my coupe since I've switched to running E85.
