ya know, in the close to 7 years ive been a member on this site, i must say that the way things are going lately is rather appalling...i mean hell, there is a PM system set up for this kind of shit...yeah, we have a lot of new members on here that i may not know personally, but i HAVE noticed that a lot of the long time members have kinda trickled out since all this bullshit started. this is not whohasabiggeredick.com...this is STANGBANGERZ.COM...a place where like minded gearhead guys and gals can get together and enjoy reaching a common goal...to go as fast, or to look as good as a car can...but here we find our members whipping out what they think is the biggest e-dick in the site and having a pissing contest all over what was a safe site for someone to have an opinion on. yeah, there were callouts, but they were just that, and usually ended up in an actual race! Its a shame. I am glad some of you long time members are still here. You knew Vinny and I am envious of that. I love to hear the stories of what he did. It helps me know him better. I try to be on here the way I think he would have wanted me to be. Weather I am selling something, buying something, or helping someone with a problem, I carry myself a way I think he would have liked. I miss the old random meets/cruise-ins... When Vinny was around we always went to the parking lot next to Perkins on Beechmont and grabbed a snowcone... Something was always happening.

And heck, those werent even the "old days" that everyone speaks of, those are just the "old days" that I remember, being as it was only a little while after I joined the site.

I miss the good times we all had, everyone was friends still, no drama from the folks on the east side in particular like there is now... This person doesnt talk to that person because he/she is friends with this person that did that..

The only place I know to have fun at nowadays is the Farm Party! And the turnouts for that is starting to dwindle.

I have not been on here to long and really do not have a lot of posts. I have sold and bought many things to people on this board, met others at the track and everyone has always been cool. I always thought it was awesome to be on a forum where most of the users were local. I am on many other forums that have a way bigger headcount and have never seen as much b1tching as I have been seeing on here. It is pretty distracting. I have never brought up anything to the admins as I did not feel like I had been here long enough to voice my opinion, but I do believe there are a few users on here that could go away and not be missed.

Someone else said it better than I could so I'll just say it their way. Vinny was a person that could just walk up and meet you for the first time and made you feel like you guys knew each other forever. He liked to come over the the Chevy boards and give us crap about ouor cars but it was always in a friendly way nad he was always encouraging others to make their dreams happen. There seems to be a loss of focus or direction here lately but usually these things work themselves out and it all settles down. It is sad because if people don't try to make it, feel they have something more important to do, etc etc, then the person asking quits asking. Then we all grow farther apart. Pretty soon, we all just don't know each other anymore and the site simply goes away. Personally, I have met some great people on this board, Vinny included. I would be dissapointed to see it fold up and go away.

The term "young" is IMO being improperly used and/or implied in this thread. The correct term IMHO would be "immature". Being 44 years old, (dag that sounds wierd to say) I have met many people in my years across this country and in other countries that regardless of age, act their shoe size instead of their age, making them immature. As well I have met some 16 year olds that have the maturity of of a seasoned adult.

An acquaintance once told me, "All people in this world are potential A-holes. There are those who realize this and try to improve themselves from their mistakes, and there are those who don't care and never mature." This person was 19 at the time.
