What is the easiest way, besides replacing the window, to remove old window tinting?

I have the door windows out of the door, so I have complete access.

Thanks

If you have a heat gun, heat up the old film and use a razor blade. Even a hair drier will help. Contact Dedpedal. He does it for a living. Good luck with it!!

I just removed some from my rear window on a fox hatch.... just used glass cleaner and razor blades, then a green scuff pad and cleaner to clean the left over glue off..... wasnt too bad

Its harder to do on rear windows in the cold weather espicially with defrosters. Your best bet is to get a sunny day, get a trash bag cut it to where it fits onto the rear window tape it up there and put some window tint remover solution in between the bag and the window and let the sun bake it for about 30 minutes to an hour. The idea is to get it to come off in the biggest pieces possible so its less scraping and less chance of fuckin up your defroster lines. If the top layer of the tint peels off the bottom layer, it will be a REAL pain in the ass.

Yep, you did say door windows. :) I'm not an expert or anything but, we have always used Windex (name brand not off brand) and razor blades. Patience grasshopper and good things will happen!! :bigthumb
