Nice run!! Didnt you say in another thread that all the 03-04 cobra guys and gals are going to be pissed when a 2 valve coupe puts it to ya with a 8.5 inch slick.... can ya say 10.60s? I ran 11.80s full weight on nitto drags in my ported 03 cobra. (I weigh 250lbs also) Dont get me wrong I love your car but did you think it was going to be faster when you made that statement?

I'm not the best drag racer. It took me 2 years to whittle the coupe from a 13.30 to a 11.80 on the old nitrous set-up.


So here's my excuse list.....besides not racing for the last 2 years....Did you see the bunny hop launch (forgot to adjust my shocks/struts off their street settings).....and the slow shifts?(stupid TKO) Plus, I was on a worn out drag radials (spinning to a 2.2 60FT).

I would think a 120.9 MPH would be good for a 10.90?

It is kinda depressing that I have 100 more HP than before and went the same time, but I have 9 more MPH than before...it will come.

BTW....not that it matters, but I was faster than the 2 '03/'04 cobra's that were there yesterday, even with all my problems...where were you?

it will come joe ... you had around 1400 ft of air, a head wind, drag radials and first time out in a while ... 10's easy ...

120.9 is killer ... hell my best is only 119.87 ... your mph will shoot up with some slicks, you wont be spinning that mph away your first few gears ...

That's kinda what I was getting at when I asked how much the car weighed. I'm with you, I LOVE the car...Obviously no shortcuts taken in the build. But even with a shitty launch, I was kinda expecting more mph out of it. I did notice laggy shifts too, is that common when using a TKO? My 3550 was kinda shitty like that when I had my mustang, but I didn't realize it was a common issue.

TKO's suck to shift quickly!...however I did take the car to Dayton today to help my dad, on the way home the clutch pedal got real loose, and the car got real hard to shift. Turns out the firewall adjuster is loosening itself up...Gotta fix that!
