I picked this up over the summer from the original owner(friend of a friend) as a winter project, but work has been slow and with the holidays coming up I need the money more than the car. It's a project car that needs a lot of little things but overall is pretty sound. I'm still waiting on the title, but expect to have it shortly and my understanding is that it is a clear title.

Details:

1988 Mustang GT Convertible 5 speed with 157k, bone stock. Runs good, doesn't smoke, tranny shifts great, has newer tires and interior is in decent shape, but could use a good detailing. There is some wear on the dash and a small rip in the drivers seat but overall its in decent shape. I've started restoring it and have replaced some minor things and started on the body, so the hood, drivers fender, and other small areas are in primer. The body is surprisingly straight but has some small dings that need to be fixed. There was quite a bit of rust on the deck lid but that has been replaced with a white deck lid from an LX vert that is in good shape. There is/was also some rust on the bottom of the drivers door that is mid-repair. The pics are from when I first picked it up and its wet so it looks shiny but the paint is pretty faded.

Here are some of the smaller things that it will need, I'm sure there is more but I haven't had the car long enough to go through it with a fine tooth comb:

-Needs a new top or at least back window section, motor works but needs fluid
-Needs door window trim pieces and misc interior pieces (sun visors and some other small things)
-Temp gauge doesn't work
- Dash lights not working (could be fuse or dash bulb, not sure)
-Needs E-brake cable
-Needs paint
-I think the tumblers in the steering column are out, so it will likely need to be replaced

I'm sure I'm missing some things and I'll try to get more pics of the car up tomorrow. Just trying to get back what I paid so asking $1600, pretty firm on price. Let me know if you have any questions.

I'm just north of you around middletown. I'm just off of the highway south of 122. I'll check on the title and let you know ASAP. I'll PM you my address tomorrow and will hopefully have more info on the title by then as well. Thanks!

Hey man I think I'm gonna pass on the vert. It is def a great deal but I found a hell of a deal on a nice coupe. Already have a nice vert anyway but I don't have a coupe and have been looking for quit some time now. You def won't have a hard time selling the car for that price! Good luck man!!:bigthumb
