Did they have a smog pump?

Short version of the story.

I broke my alt mount on my 95 last year. It is a big bracker with a spot for the alt at one end then at the bottom is the smog pump.

Well i picked up a bracket off a guy earlyier this year and did not realize it till i got home that it is only half the size. He told me it came off of a cobra and i took his word for it.
this is the type i broke:

This is the type i have:

Pic is half way down.

I guess i'm asking if this will work without any trouble?

Thanks for your time and answers.

Yes they did have a smog pump below the alt. That one in the pic looks correct up top (Compared to my 94 GT), but I bet some one cut the bottom half off and smoothed it out.

...and it will work but you will need a special belt since you will be with one less pulley. I can tell you the size if you are still running everything else (A/C PS). If so let me know and I will go pop my hood to get it for you.

I will try to get an exact pic of the bracket i have tomorrow or monday and post it up to see if you all think it will work.

If i can just delete the pump without a pulley since i have to change the bracket any way, why not?

Just get a shorter belt. Done.

I still have to replace the bracket one way or another. If I had thought about it I would have showed you when we last met.
