So, my buddy calls me and asks me if I'll ride to West Chester with him, evidently he was looking at trading for a "heavily modded 94 GT." The guy talks about how fast this car is, and is "his baby." Anyway, my friend knows nothing but Hondas so he asked me to go along. Also took another buddy with us.

So we get up there and this car is just looks ragged to hell. The driver side door lock is torn out. All the tires are mismatched and 3 are bald. Paint is badly oxidized but there doesn't look like any other body issues. The driver's side door sags and requires 2-3 tries to shut. The drivers side seat is broken and is being held in by one bolt. The rest of the interior is thrashed, ripped and dirty.

I ask him to start it and pop the hood, he pops it but wants to leave the hood up for about 30 seconds before he's trying to put it back down. It had shorties on it, that was about the only visible mod. Motor was dirty, had cobwebs and leaves under the hood. It's got an exhaust leak, which turns out to be from a missing header bolt. There's a strange sound coming from the back passengers side compartment, but doesn't sound like anything terrible.

He took my buddy for a drive, and grinds every shift. So we drive the car. Revved quick and seemed to make good power, I'd guess just a hair more than stock which made sense with the headers and exhaust. He'd said it was a 3.73 gear with LSD; might have been a 3.73 but definitely was an open diff. The big problem.... the car would barely shift. He claimed it was just the cable, and maybe that's how it started, but I couldn't even get the car into reverse without shutting it off. 1st to 2nd was painful, and I barely got the car back to dudes house. HE'S DRIVING IT EVERY DAY LIKE THIS! So no telling how hard he's beaten the tranny now. He said he called down to Cincy Speed for a new clutch cable but those guys are rip offs and wanted twice the cost. Now, I've bought quite a few of my bolt-ons from Craig and we all know he's about the same price as the shit you order online WITHOUT the shipping.

So, here's where it gets good. This d-bag is telling me how it makes 308hp/327tq. "Oh really, where'd you have it dyno'ed?" Of course, he didn't have it dyno'ed, the guy he bought it from told him that. Dyno sheet? Of course not, but his track times backed up the power claims. "What'd it run?" Consistently ran 13 flat. Time slips? No. Well one, but it was a 14.60 pass. He races it at Kil-Kare EVERY WEEKEND he says. Every weekend, but only one time slip, showing a 14.60 instead of his "consistent 13 flat" passes.

Anyway, I just thought it was funny because I'm figuring this car is worth about $1000 less than my buddy's car and he should ask him for boot if he really wants to trade still. Then d-bag calls him today and asks for boot money lol... My buddy just told him off.

complete update! i have here my 2003 dodge caravan. it is silver in color. speaking of exterior its not perfect. driver side has scratches going back the side by the back as if someone graised a guard rail. but really its not bad. the hood has a few scratches on it also. but its got a clear title. it doesnt shake or anything while driving. its an incredibly smooth ride, nice and quiet. also the radio doesnt work, im not sure why, it has no juice so i believe it is a fuse. ill be messing with it tomorrow so if you call or text or email ask if ive fixed it yet. i drive my really loud mustang also, so im use to no radio. lol. im no too pressed to figure it out. tires are ok, it may need some here soon. the interior is mint! it is mechanically sound. no knocks, ticks, leaks nothing. the dash reads 146xxx almost 147. i drive it everyday right now so that may roll over to 147. dont let miles fool you, it runs beautifully! it is a 7 passenger van. heat works great. as does the ac. automatic trans of course that shifts great. car needs minor things, like the hood at a junk yard is 40 bucks. big deal, dont let that freak you out when you see it, seems like everyone is scared of working on something. id buy it myself but i just lost my job. anywho im very open to trades. id trade for anything basically, as long as it runs and doesnt have atleast a lot of rust, i hate rust, passionately. this would make a great family car. but im 18 with no kids, as it is of no use to me. wouldnt mind a nice dirtbike or 4 wheeler, basically anysize. sorry for i long ad i didnt mean to redo it this long lol. ill trade for cars, trucks, suvs, motorcycles, 4 wheelers, 3 wheelers, a barstool racer would be sweet. i will accept partial trades as well, and would discuss price after seeing each others vehicles. i cant put up any money on my side so please dont ask. i really could use some money though to put a new trans in my gt, i need a clutch cable and 1st and 2nd gear sincos, so if you offer something of lesser value and you have money to boot that would be fantastic, honestly. ill trade for anything if enough cash to fix my mustang comes with it. i dont care what it is. i just want to drive it again :/ so please feel free to shoot over any offer via text or call ANYTIME to 5135203434 (if you see this ad at 4 am, go ahead and call or text or email) email goes to my phone as well. just please be serious with your offers, i lost 2 offers this week because 2 people werent serious. it sucks. not to be a jerk but please be real, and serious and dont leave me hanging please please please that annoys me so bad. anyways, 5135203434! thanks thanks for looking, price is negotiable!
