I get on the site at least three times a week and see all the project threads and think how i would love to do that. Well this is my project thread. Now let my be honest with you guys. Im not a pro builder nor do I have alot of money to throw at a project. Infact this will be a budget built to say the least......So let me start with what I got.

Its a 1994 GT 5 speed vert.

GT 40 upper and lower
C&L cold air kit
24# injectors
B 303 cam
BBK shorty headers
X pipe
65mm TB
Center force clutch

And now for what I plan to do....

Cross drilled and slotted rotors
New heads?? Not sure which ones to go with
New upper and lower control arms
Hide wire harness ??? dont know how Im going to do this.....
373 or 410 gears
suede inserts for front and rear seats.... like the cobras
lose the smog pump and EGR
new shocks .... not sure which ones to go with
sub frame connectors
rear fenders rolled to fit larger wheel and tire combo
18x9 and 18x10 FR500 wheels
and much more I cant think of right now...

I know for some of you on here this does not seem like alot, but keep in mind that im the father of a 4 and 6 year olds. I work 60hrs a week and my wife hate this car..... Thats why Im keeping it!
I plan on doing on thing at a time and only when one is finished do I start on another. Any advice you guys can give would be great. Im sure I will be on here alot with questions and OH SHIT moments.

Thats true. Its a great car and for anyone else it would fine. But every time I look at it I see things I want to change. I just need to get off my ass and do it!

Looks like you have a nice start, if it was me I would look around for some heads, since your on a budget I would think you could get a decent set of used GT40 or GT40P heads for a decent price. Hell heads and gears alone will really make you wonder if it is the same car you had before lol. Good luck man keep updates posted up.

sounds like a good plan ... get rid of that c&l intake and get something straighter ... find some p-heads (only a few hundred dollars) and the hell with that b-cam ... there are much better choices out there ...

good luck :bigthumb

I agree about the C&L pipe. I'd go with outta the box twisted wedges and put at least an f-cam in it. Also being a vert I'd get the best subframe connectors available.:bigthumb

Yeah I'd skip the suede and the cross drilled rotors and go for a good set of heads and cam. The other stuff is just eye candy.
