I bought this system on launch day 11/22/2005 turn it on today one red ring E74 so it made it 4 years and some odd days never got the 3 red rings or been banned from live been modded for the last 3 years. may have to get it fixed just to see how much longer it will last. must have been a good one off the line to last that long.

That's crazy it made it that long, I'm on my second one and even that is good.

Gotta do somethin to pass the time. My new one has the Jasper chip in it and it runs so quiet, smooth, and cool.

I am still using my original, I got it at target on launch day as well.

I'm getting my second one soon. Kind of a sucky trade, but I'm painting my buddy's car while he's in afghanistan and he's sending his 360 to me for the paint job. He sent it a couple days ago, should get it in a week or so.

My last two lasted 5 months after refurbish. :(

Fortunately their turn around time is pretty good. If you're quick about it, you should have it back before Christmas.

ya mine made is about 9 months...but i also play an average of 3-4 hours a day ;)

Yeah, other than random freezing in the middle of the game which seems to happen ~2x a month. :lol: That and 99% of the games require you to install on the HDD and they STILL load slower than the same game on the 360. :eek: My buddy's PS3 has been good to him. :flipoff:


Don't forget Sony's PS2 DRE issue. I had 3 sent back due to it.


FWIW, Toys'R'Us has 360s(arcade) on sale for $100 online this week. Should be same price in store next week. You can swap your HDD over and continue playing while you wait to get your original repaired.

Sorry, I talked to my buddy who was alerted to the deal.

Randomly offered in stores.

IE:

Miamisburg store was offering it last Saturday, Wednesday and Friday.
