Hey guys, I'm thinking about lowering my '85 GT a little. I'm not 100% sure it doesn't have lowering springs in it now though, but they look stock. Does anyone have pics of a lowered fox that could post it with what springs they have in it now? Is the amount of drop the manufacturer lists pretty close to what you actually get? I only want to lower it about 1" to 1-1/2" at most. I'll post some pics of what it looks like now, if anyone could guess if it is lower than stock.
Thanks!

You sure you wanna go lower with those meats on the back? I cant tell if it's lowered myself but here's a pic of my fox body with FRPP C springs.

I run Eibach Pro sport (The lowest you can go 2" all around I think) and I fit 10.5x26 on 10 holes...
I weight transfer like a bitch though...

Yeah, the back tires have me a little concerned. :D
How tall are the tires on your car? Mine are 26" (275-50-15) and I have about 2" of space between the tire and the fender lip. Yours looks closer than that if they're 26" tall. The front of yours looks a lot lower too.
I have Southsides control arms on the rear, so the rear of the car tends to lift under acceleration (see launch picture below). I figure I can get away with an inch drop with no issues
Thanks for your help.

Do the tires rub at all? I'd love to go 2" but I think the tires would hit just driving around. I found some BBK's that say they go 1-1/2" lower both front and
rear. I was wondering if they really lower the car that much.

Is that Marq's old 88?
I wondered who bought it.

Yep that's his old one, I've fallen in love with it in the short time I've had it.
To the OP, the tires on the rear are 255/40/17, 24 inches tall. The rear looks like it has some space because the fender well on the rears have been cut a little to make more room. I would be concerned with weight transfer mostly, but with Southside's I would say your right an inch would be good. I believe the FRPP B springs drop the rear around 3/4-1 inch.
