I found this pic on an ebay auction that claims this is their hood on this car. I'm dying to know if they are on here, I know I've seen pics of this car before. I especially remember the vic in the background. Anyone know who this is? I want to ask them about how the hood fit, and was finished. It's from a Hoods4sale add on ebay. Pm me or post if you have any ideas, thanks!

I dunno, I'll let you know as soon as I find out myself. I've been looking for a cheap alternative to cervinis, and a local ont I can pick up. I dont mind doing a lil work to get a good fit, but dont wanna have to completely re-finish the whole damn thing lol. Keep an eye on this thread to find out!

Tell me about it, the used ones go for around $300 and then you have $100-$150 shippng on top of that, so it really isint a big break in the end... Thats why I want a local deal for me...

Champion Hoods aren't to bad either. They are $270 each and on the East side of Cincy. Decent out of the box, but can be made nice with a few hours labor.

I did a search on Liberty, and read a forum post that said they thought they were cinn comp. But I think if I go in person and pick it up that I can atleast check it out and make a decision on it. I havent seen anything saying they were infact the same company though...

ive never seen a hood compare to cirvini's... cost more but basically ready for prime & paint. i've bought 3 over the years (2 hinged & 1 lift off) most other hoods out there you save ten cents up front to spend an extra dollar in the long run & still usually have a hood that fits like crap and is wavey after you pay your body guy to attempt getting them straightened out. guess it depends on what you need.

Have to agree with 93cobra here. Nothing compares to cirvinis. I am also a cheap ass but if you are planing on keeping this car for a while spend the bucks to get the best. heres two of the cirvinis "R" hoods I had

Idk man, nothing cheap ass about owning the cars you've had! I'm watching an auction on one of their hoods for next to nothing right now, and if noone bids on it, I'm gonna snag it. I figure it's worth a try, and I'll pick it up myself in person, so I can atleast check the quality out in person before I pay for it...

i have a h.o. fibertrends hood on my 95, got it cheap too from the guy who makes them, i had to make my own holes in the back cowl to actually let the heat out but its gorgeous and needed very little prep work i highly recommend them. I put an expensive ass harwood hood on my camaro and its nice since the underside is all smooth and the vents in the back are flawless but it was also $500+ and the one for my stang by h.o. was $200.

INSANEBA
12-22-2009, 12:27 PM
Wow, $200 for an HO hood? Thats schmokin right there. I had a harwood on my last notchback, and it was sweet but I wanted to try something different. Plus the price was hard to say no to, that and my hot @ss woman buying it hels out alot too! hehehe

I bought the same one as you. Mine fits awesome.

I'll be finding out in a few hours! I'm starting to think they buy a few cervinis hoods, make molds with them and start producing their own hoods with the copy molds. Atleast I'm hoping so lol. I'll look at mine and see if it shows any cervinis markings, but I did notice from the ebay pics that it has the same lines molded into it on the underside as the cervinis hoods do. I know this one feels well built, so I'll be slappin it on tonight and hoping it comes out as nice as the rest of yours do!

Well it's on, but too dark to get a good pic. I didnt spend much time ligning it up but it seemed to fit pretty decent so far. I know one thing, it makes my car look BAD@SS!!!
