I put 355 gears in my car due to doing a turbo setup on my car, i was recently told to switch to 373 gears because the 355 would take a crap on the highway waiting for the lag to pick back up.What is everybodys opinion on this, should i switch or stay with my current setup?

I would just run it as is. then after you drive it for awhile and decide you need more then switch. but I think you will like the driveability of the 3.55

I wont be driving the car for a while, as soon as i get it back from rob im going to be stripping it down and putting it back to factory. The k-member, engine, turbo setup i'm keeping. I have some student loans im trying to pay off. I have neen sick of red for a while so i figured this would be a good time to change colors and pays some bills. I have a black 95 gt i found with 237,000 on the ticker for $1500. I figured id pick this up and swap over all the stuff im taking off of my 95 and its a win win situation. I will have to buy gears for the black car for i am going to leave the 355 i have now in my 95

Why not just paint your car?Seems like the more logic thing to do dont ya think?

i thought about that but i thought it would be more hassle than it would be worth to color change everything over (engine bay, trunk, doors, door sills) that and i do need to pay some bills off that are pilling up, the black 95 i found is a relatives that he said he would hold on until i wanted to buy it from him. I just figured in a year i could get back into the mustang thing after i got the bills caught up. I figured i needed to do this now because the wife and i just found out we will be having another little one.

Before spending the time to put a different gear inthe car why not try putting a shorter tire on it to gain the rotation difference and see how that works before putting all the time under the car? My 05 came stock setup with 235/55/17, so I put a pair of 245-45-17 DR's on from my old 02 and tried them at E20. This effectively changed the ratio to 3.75:1 vice 3.55:1 based on rotations per mile calculation avg. I found the car just does not hook as well being the twin screw S/C starts making torque almost immediately. Just a thought.
