lost title where to check the vin?

looking at a car with no title, just wondering where i can check the vin to see if its all good, i ran a carfax and nothing came back stolen or anything. Is there anywhere else to run the vin to be 1000% sure? the state highway patrol said to bring the car to them

Have the owner take the time to file for lost title, only takes 10 minutes at DMV in Ohio.

car has changed hands twice befor me was gonna be used as race car only or a parts car

then don't bother trying to get it back on the street.

If you wanna try, do a title search to last owner of the title and see what they are willing to do.

If they are dead and estate has already gone through probate.......two options.

Crush it or race it.
