Well I finally got a set of CHUBBYS for the gt a few weeks ago. I slapped them on my 15x8 Canterline warriors, and slapped em on the back of my 91 GT. I knew there was gonna have to be something done with the lips, so I took advice from some fellow bangers and used Latamuds fender lip roller and rolled those babys. That thing did a nice job, and quick too. I also used the BFH on the inner tub infront of the shock. I set it on the ground, and it still sits really low/tucked. I backed it outta the driveway and onto the road, and when the body twisted, it rubbed a lil bit. I drove it about 10 mileds down st rt 309, and every bump I hit it rubbed. The car is lowered, with cut gt springs in the rear. My question is, what spring can I use to keep it low, but high and stiff enough to clear these tires?

ive ran mac and intrax springs with 275's ... i run them with 10" slicks too ... no issues ...
intrax is a good spring that you dont hear much about ... a 1000 times better ride than mac and eibach ... very smooth ... i pull 1.53's on them too ... they r cheap and at summit ...

let me look them up ... just your standard springs for a mustang ... they fit like 79-04, or something like that ... they are purple in color ... if you dont want to ride around and get jar'd to death, these are nice ... they have a nice stance ... heres a pic ...
the fronts are shown in pic 1 ... pic 2 i actually have coil overs on the front ... but you get the idea ...
the back of my car is stock, nothing beaten or rolled ...

whats the backspacing? I didnt have any issues on my coupe with a 275 50(or 60's) 15 drag radials other than rolling the lip.

It's your wheels. You shouldn't have the slightest problems fitting a 275 on a lowered fox, especially on 15's.

They are 15x8 with 5.5 b.s. I dont have any trouble with the passenger side at all, but the drivers side rubs when I hit a bump on the road at speed. I talked to the guy I got it from, and he said he cut the factory GT springs, so I think thats my problem. I'm gonna try to find a set of springe for the rear, and see what that does, the wheels are exactly what the car needs for this. I hope this will get it, but I still cant beleive how fuggin huge these tires look on here lol...

Are those Centerline Warriors on there Brandon ??? Remember Centerlines always stick out farther then Welds !!! Even though they may say the same size and backspacing they hang out a little more, So that could be where your having issues ...

All foxes have an off set rearend. They are not center so one side will always rub easier than the other. All you should have to do is pull the wheel back off and use your bfh again on the shiny spots

I've noticed that before, it seems like it sits further out on one side than the other. I'll have to pull it apart again and use the bfh lol. I still think it needs a set of springs on the rear, atleast a lil stiffer. I can imagine the stockers were worn out before the guy I got the car from cut em, so I think it's probably the best thing for sure. Just seems to be weak on the drivers side, is that the side that sticks further out? Yep Aaron, centerlines on there. The rears dont seem to sit out any farther than my old drag stars did on the notch, but the front wheels are offset to stick out where it should be for 4" front runners...

They are all different. Its like they paid some one armed, blind man to weld them in. I've seen them off as bad as 2in side to side and the same front to rear
