Time for another Private Race Day @ E20 Sunday Apr

Finally got a Date for the Track rental at E20
April 25th

Gates open at 9 am tech at 10 am and race from 11 - 3

Rain date of May 16th ( I know, it is the same day as a cruise in, but that was the only date that would work with the track and my schedule)

If you where there last year, you are in, if you want to come. Once I get closer to the date, and if I have spots open, then I will get more people in. If you want to come out, let me know so that I can get up with you when the time comes.

E20 is trying to get my pricing for over 50 cars, since last year I had about 47 or so cars and I was only supposed to have 40.:rolleyes:

Anyways, it is $40 to race and FREE to come out and watch and hang out. All the proceeds are going to New Perceptions, so I do NOT SEE A Dime, I just cover my cost and that is it. I do it for the fun of having the track for the day.

We are going to do a split the pot and have a small bake sale as well, to help raise a little more money.

Well guys, it is that time of year to be gearing up for another fun filled race season, it is only around the corner. I think that I heard that the track is opening at the end of Feb this year.

Anyways, I am hosting another Private Race this Spring at edgewater, just like I did last fall. Which I must add, was a huge sucess and a lots of fun, plus we raised alot of money for New Perceptions!!! Thanks again for all that came out.

Last fall was the largest races days that I have done, and I really pushed the limit on how many cars I could have, so this year, I am getting all new pricing from E20, since they are changing insurance this year, for different amounts of cars.

Each year I try to keep it at max of 40 cars, which makes the entry fee cheap and lots of pass. But like I said, I want to get pricing for 40 to 70 cars, starting at 40, then 50, then 60, then 70, to see how bad the pricing jumps up as the number of cars goes .This will be an invite only, prepayed, and a great time, plus raise money for a great cause!!.

I just realized that I did not mention in my orginal post, that anyone that attended last year, is automatically on the "List" and will be counted but please still post here if you think you will come out again or want to come out for the first time as well.

I think that I have everyone's name from last year, but PM me with your info so that I can make sure that I have your contact info to send you all the race infomation, when I finally figure it all out.

I hope to be able to give about 4 wks notice this time around, at least that is my goal. Last year, It was only a couple of weeks, but that was due to me being almost filled up with people from the previous race event. When I told MrMoontang I need some more guys, he told to to log onto here and see if anyone wanted to come out, and I ended up getting more than enough people.

So that is why I wanted to see who else wanted to come out, so that I can give the track some idea as to how many cars I may have this year, and want the cost are going to be.

The other thing I will check into is if there is going to be a "Speed Limit", and if there is, then I will let you guys know on that too. There is only a couple guys that came out last year from here that really were in that catagory, not there was an issue, I just want the track to know so that I do not get myself in trouble with them. So far, all of my events have been great with no issue and I just want to keep it that way. I feel that I have a pretty good relationship with them and want to keep this going for years to come!!!

I did get mine running again, and boy what a mess the motor was, since I let it sit too long. Oh well, I got to rebuild the motor again and had some more things done to it. Deck the block and heads more, all new bearings, all new rings and the heads repolished too. I now have more compression:D which in turn should get me closer to mid 11's. I just now have to wait and break the motor in to start tuning on it again. Oh and I plugged up the silencer ports in the blower, so it shoud be nice and loud now, can't wait to get into boost, can't wait.

Ok, In a couple of days, E2O is supposed to have some numbers for me, but I wanted to see what you guys thought about some possible days that will work for you guys that race all weekend.

I was thinking either the end of April, or the end of May. If in April I was thinking of the 25th with a rain date of the 2nd OR May 23rd with a rain date of the 30th.

Now, I am thinking that the weather will still be cool in April, but the rain still may be around. If we do it in May, then the weather is going to be a little warmer, close to getting hot.

Anyways, post up what you all think would work well in relation to weather and race schedule.

Ok, well, I should have talked with my family before I posted up, but I did not, the dates of May 23rd are not going to work for me AND the 30th is Memorial Day weekend so that is out.

No we do not have classes. This is just for fun and a fundraiser as well. Basically we have the track to ourselves for 4 hrs and you make as many runs as you want. There is a guys stands at the tree all day just waiting for someone to come up to race, and you go. If you want meet up with a friend then you line up with them. It is kinda cool really, since there is never a line.

It is a great time, I just hope that it does not rain, even though the forecast say otherwise:mad:

Nope, just come on down and hang out and enjoy the day. Make sure you stop and say hi to me, since I will most likely be pretty busy with my car and trying to keep things going. I think my wife will be at the gate checking people off that are racing, so just need to say you are here to hang out and you are from the board;)

Great, thanks for coming out!! we are going to be doing split the pot again, and have a bake sale, well it is more like a donation bake sale, take a couple of baked goods and throw some money in the box. It all goes to charity:)

I am going out rain or shine and see what happens. I will have my phone with me and hope that the weather will blow out of here in time to race.

So if you were planning on coming, go ahead and make your way out and we will go from there.
